A Summer of Discovery

Header Image

There’s something special blooming at Honey Bee Gardens Farm this summer—and it’s not just the flowers.

With the arrival of Miss Jane, a seasoned educator with over 30 years in education, our farm has been thoughtfully transformed into a place where learning, play, and nature come together in perfect harmony.

From newly imagined spaces to engaging weekly lesson plans, this season promises a truly hands-on, heartfelt summer of discovery for children and families alike.

The 💛 Behind Our New Programs

Miss Jane brings a lifetime of passion for education and child development to the farm. Her unique approach blends the structure of quality education with the freedom and wonder of outdoor learning.

She has poured her experience and energy into developing rich, diverse programs that meet kids where they are, while encouraging them to grow, explore, and thrive.

Each week, Miss Jane crafts custom lesson plans rooted in the rhythms of the farm and the natural world around us. From science experiments in the greenhouse to storytelling under the shade trees, every activity is designed with care, intention, and a deep respect for how children learn best—by doing.

Children need more than just information—they need space to wonder, create, and feel connected to something real. The farm gives them that. It’s a place where their curiosity leads and learning happens naturally.

🔍 Explore Our New Spaces

We’ve been busy adding new places and faces to the farm designed to enrich your child’s summer experience.

🔬The Curiosity Center

Our hands-on, nature-inspired, all-new area for kids! This interactive space is filled with real fossils, bird nests, antlers, rocks, crystals, and natural treasures just waiting to be discovered. Whether your child loves dinosaurs, geology, or simply playing with the wonders of the wild, they'll find something to spark their imagination here.

🛍 The Country Store

A charming playhouse where kids can shop, stock shelves, and run their own little store using pretend food, canned goods, shopping carts, and plenty of imagination.

📚 Reimagined Learning Areas

Miss Jane has reimagined every learning space across the farm. You’ll now find shaded outdoor classrooms, sensory play stations, animal interaction zones, and creative corners filled with music, art, and natural science.

The farm has become a vibrant, open-air laboratory for fun and discovery!

🎨 Farm Activities That Spark Imagination

Each week at Honey Bee Gardens Farm brings a new adventure, with rotating events, programs, and activities that give children fresh, exciting ways to connect with nature and each other.

Some of this summer’s programs and activities include:

Wilderness Explorers

Through nature-based activities, they'll develop confidence, curiosity, and a deeper connection to the great outdoors (ages: 6-12).

The Hive

Our new teen fellowship program (ages: 11-15).

Little Sprouts

This is a gentle, hands-on introduction to farm life for our youngest learners, full of planting, sensory play, and animal snuggles (ages 4-6).

Trailblazing Toddlers

Tiny feet and big curiosity lead the way during this nature-based program designed for movement, discovery, and connection (ages: 2-4, with parent).

STEM on the Farm

Science, technology, engineering, and math come alive on the farm! Taught by two high school physics teachers.

Kids Makers Market

A fun, confidence-building market day where kids become vendors and sell their handmade creations to the community.

STEAM on the Farm

Science, technology, engineering, ARTS & math! We blend art with science to spark innovation and creativity in lesson-planned activities.

Story Camp

Where imaginations run wild—kids bring stories to life through reading, creative writing, dramatic play, and crafts inspired by their favorite tales.

Volunteering

Help around the farm and participate in the daily rhythm—watering, weeding, feeding animals, and making a difference together.

Buzz Around The Barnyard

Our open weekend hours invite families to explore, visit the animals, and enjoy self-guided fun on the farm.

Every program and activity is age-appropriate, screen-free, and designed to foster creativity, confidence, and connection.

🧚‍♀️ Write to The Fairies

We’re excited to share a new magical experience at the farm—Fairy Mail in our beloved Fairy Tea Garden! Children are invited to write letters to the fairies and leave them in the special fairy mailbox tucked among the flowers and toadstools.

Whether they want to ask questions, share a secret, or say hello, the fairies would love to hear from them!

Even more enchanting? If your child includes a return address on their letter, the fairies will write back! (with some help from Miss Jane, their trusted human messenger). It’s a gentle, imaginative way to encourage writing, wonder, and connection with nature—one tiny envelope at a time.

☀️ Learning with Heart, All Summer Long

At Honey Bee Gardens Farm, we believe childhood should be filled with dirt under the fingernails, curiosity in the air, and joy around every corner. Thanks to Miss Jane’s incredible vision and care, we’re proud to offer an experience that’s not just fun, but truly formative.

Come see what’s growing. Visit the Country Store. Peek into the greenhouse. Say hello to the goats, rabbits, and chickens. And most importantly, let your kids discover a place where learning feels like magic.
