Suit Up. Step Into the Hive.
Saturday, June 20th
The Beekeeper Experience is an immersive, hands-on opportunity to step inside the world of honey bees—guided by experienced beekeepers and grounded in education, respect, and awe for the hive.

- Learn how a hive functions (queen, workers, drones)
- Understand bee behavior, communication, and purpose
- Learn how beekeepers work with bees, not against them

"Up close with the bees... nothing else like it."

Inside the Hive
This is the heart of the experience. After suiting up and learning proper hive etiquette, guests are guided into the apiary to observe an active honey bee colony up close.
With calm instruction and thoughtful pacing, you’ll see the inner workings of the hive—frames filled with brood, pollen, and honey—while watching thousands of bees move with purpose and precision.
Led by experienced beekeepers, this hands-on moment offers a rare opportunity to witness the quiet complexity of hive life and gain a deeper appreciation for the role bees play in our ecosystem.
"Hands-on, fascinating, and surprisingly calming."

The Beekeeper Experience
What the Experience Feels Like
You’ll be guided through the experience in a way that feels natural and unhurried, with time to observe, ask questions, and truly engage. This is a hands-on introduction to beekeeping that balances education with presence — learning not just about bees, but with them.

You’ll see the hive up close, gain insight into how bees work together, and develop a deeper understanding of their role in our food system and environment. Along the way, you’ll be encouraged to listen, notice, and experience the rhythm of the hive.

This experience is designed to be approachable, meaningful, and memorable — whether it’s your first time around bees or you’ve always been curious.
