Raw Honey | Downers Grove
Raw Honey Harvested in Downers Grove, Illinois
Bees are the heartbeat of our farm — steady, purposeful, and essential to everything we grow.
Our honey is harvested directly from our hives and bottled just as the bees made it: raw, unfiltered, and never pasteurized. We don’t blend it. We don’t over-process it. What you taste reflects the flowers, the season, and the work of our bees.
Every jar is extracted right here on the farm in Downers Grove, Illinois — keeping it truly local from hive to home.
100% pure honey. Nothing added. Nothing removed.
About Our Bees 🐝
Our bees live and forage right here in Downers Grove, Illinois. They gather nectar from local trees, wildflowers, gardens, and seasonal blooms throughout the area, which gives our honey its depth and character.
We care for our hives year-round — monitoring their health, ensuring proper ventilation and space, and protecting them through Midwest winters. Healthy bees make better honey. Our role is stewardship.
Every jar reflects the work of thousands of bees and the landscape they call home.
Because our bees forage locally, the flavor and color of our honey naturally shift with the seasons — lighter in spring, deeper and richer later in the year.
That variation is not an inconsistency. Its authenticity.
About Our Process 🍯
We harvest honey directly from our hives on-site and extract it right here at the farm.
Our honey is:
• Never pasteurized
• Never blended
• Never artificially filteredWe strain it lightly to remove large wax particles while preserving the natural pollen and enzymes that give raw honey its texture and character.
We do not heat our honey beyond what is necessary for safe handling, which means crystallization may occur over time — a natural sign that your honey is raw and unaltered.
From hive to jar, the process stays local.
Nothing added. Nothing taken away
Why Raw Matters 👍
Raw honey retains the natural compounds created by bees and flowers. When honey is heavily filtered or pasteurized at high temperatures, much of that natural complexity is lost.
Raw honey keeps:
• Naturally occurring enzymes
• Trace amounts of pollen
• Seasonal flavor variation
• Natural textureIt may look different from jar to jar. That’s the point
Why Honey Crystallizes ❄️
Raw honey naturally crystallizes over time. This is not spoilage — it’s science.
Because our honey is unfiltered and unpasteurized, it retains the glucose that naturally forms crystals. If your honey becomes thick or grainy, simply place the jar in warm (not boiling) water and stir gently.
It will return to liquid — without losing quality.
